How we protect employee privacy
Honest feedback depends on people feeling safe to speak openly. These are the protections built into Askandimprove.com.
Links are kept separate from what people say
Each employee receives a private interview link. Your company can see how many links have been used and completed, but never what was said in any conversation.
Interview conversations are stored separately from your company's account, and company administrators have no way to open individual transcripts or see which findings came from whom.
Written so no one can be identified
Points raised by any employee can appear in the report, always in general terms. Teams or departments are only named when at least 2 of their members took part.
Before a report is released, an automatic check looks for anything that could point to an individual, such as a specific incident, a date, a quote or behaviour pinned on a particular manager. Those passages are rewritten as general patterns, or removed. The check is stricter when fewer than 5 people were interviewed.
How long data is kept
Interview messages, individual findings and invitee names and emails are deleted 12 months after the project's report is published, or 12 months after the project closes if no report is produced. Published reports contain only combined findings.
The limits of anonymity
No system can guarantee perfect anonymity. If someone describes something very specific to their role, colleagues may be able to guess who raised it. We encourage employees to share only what they're comfortable with.
The interview isn't a way to report urgent safety issues or misconduct — please use your company's own procedures for those.
